The fishing port of Barbate, formerly known as Barbate de Franco. Although the name is no more used you can still find name plates from banks bearing the old dictator's name. The main road to the port is still called "Avenida Generalisimo" and other streets display other ex-faschist General's names. Great food here if you know where to look and the Barbate area has some of the best beaches in Europe! beaches
